Cashmere and silk pin components

The long piece,  5-stitch Icord, soaked and rolled by hand, now hanging with a weight on the end to stabilize the length.  Other pieces stitched with silk thread, seems appropriate.

Tomorrow I'll assemble these doings. There's still a bit of yarn left over. And with any luck, better light and better pix.

This bit of work today pulled me out of a bit of despond.    A slough, you might say.

  1. Well I'm sure glad you had this to do if it perked you up a bit! This has been a down day for a lot of people I've talked to. There is just too much bad in the world today and it pulls you down sometimes. Feel better!

    1. I thought I was in a general wave of tiredness of all kinds, along with a lot of people. So yes, this was something I could move along and act on. Art usually comes through that way.

  2. I'm looking forward to seeing what your little bits and pieces will assemble to be. Or not to be. That is the question. That just flashed into my head and out my fingers. Back spacing, ...will assemble to be...

    1. When they're dried completely, I can show you. I might work on it tomorrow.

  3. The despondence seems to be a common thread these days. I was doing well for the first couple months of this but now it's getting to me. Not in a particularly bad way, but it's just a different feeling and harder to be motivated. And now the latest events have caused even more angst and I'm at the point of refusing to listen to the news. My brain can't handle any more.
