This is slow work, but so good to handle, laying down the metallic thread right next to its neighbor, sliding in the needle into the fractional space between them, drawing it through and back through the same place.
My eyes now need a break.

You are making excellent progress but I can see why you would need a break. Neither my eyes nor my fingers are what they used to be and I think it would take me quite a bit of time to take on such a project. It is beautiful.
