Here's the worktop today, toys galore
And this is where we are.
You'll see an asymmetrical movement, more interesting than the static original to me. This kind of close work is very engrossing until I realize I can't see very well, eyes tired. So I have to take a break.
It is beautiful. There on your work table I recognize a tiny spool of DMC cotton (white), probably 6 cord, probably France.
ReplyDeleteYes to all the above, except I don't know about 6 cord. How clever of you to spot and identify it. I use it for all kinds of stitching purposes. Originally I think I had it for whitework.
DeleteI looked and yes, it is 6cord. I had been using a single ply for so long that I'd forgotten it came as 6 ply. The multiple plies are there under the surface of singles.
DeleteI do see the asymmetrical movement and it makes it stand out from what you might expect. It is prettier each time I see it!
ReplyDeleteYour needlework is lovelier with each stitch.
ReplyDeleteI know all about the sight thing, only I can blame cataracts for my issues. Fine detail work is beyond me at present so I do admire what you're able to do.
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky that I can still see well enough, given that I love fine stitching.
