Fronts
And backs
After all the snarling about velvet, which was much easier to stitch than cut, and the stuffing, upcycling old pillow innards, there being no budget for shopping, it all came out happily. Aside from the cotton batik, the fabrics are recycled linen and the accursed velvet.
So now I feel free to move on.
Nice show for the summer's learning.
the pillows are lovely. It must be satisfying (and a relief) to get them all done, and lined up to admire. They group well, don't they.
ReplyDelete(Don't be too hard on the velvet. It can't help itself...)
It's really cheering to come down feeling gloomy in the morning, never a happy riser, and be able to nestle happily in my summer project. Definitely a better start to the day.
ReplyDeleteI have an idea for another, using a silk hemmed square in gold, from you, which goes a treat, it turns out, with my strawberry rosette..so I think I'm not finished.. it's like laying track while the train's steaming along.
A colourful (and artistic!) collection of cozies. You will so appreciate them in the middle of winter I know.
ReplyDeleteWell done! Looks like a colorful, cozy, enticing invitation to bundle up and READ :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. The weather has now turned autumnal, windy, chilly, so it's proving to be a handy corner. More stitching is happening there, too.
