Lint and lilies

Yesterday brought treasures.

In the mail more clean and lovely lint from the loom of weaver friend. On the front step, more spent oriental lily blossoms for my freezer collection, from neighbor friend.

This is all raw material for the paper making I plan once the heat passes. It might be my August adventure.

The presents are so appreciated. Art is collaborative. Watch this space for some results.

  1. Have you ever used abandoned paper wasp nests in paper making? I think of this every time I see one on the ground or hanging empty somewhere.

    1. The paper wasp nest is already perfect paper. So I wouldn't recycle it into my paper. But I have been known to collect samples knocked down from under the eaves just to admire. The architecture is beautiful.

  2. Not everyone would be that excited about lint! Your friends quite obviously know you well.

    1. I did a bit of work on my summer top today. Hoping to get it done and wearing while it's still summer.
