Insertions for the tapestry
Two pieces of woven beadwork, which will be inserted into Four Sisters, the AIR tapestry at the library. I'll be doing a good bit of work at home on smaller looms, on insertions like this. Judy T. you may recognize the blue beads seen here. And more may show up in this work as it goes.

Its always fun to see your work, Liz, and see how you adapt and personalize anything you make. Fascinating.
ReplyDeleteI'm very pleased to see all those beads and suchlike being used, and so well. I was a basket maker for decades, and those bright colored beads always made it more interesting for me and my customers. Cool beans, as they say.
It will be interesting to see how you weave these in or are they sewn on afterwards I wonder.
ReplyDeletethe warp threads you see sort of trailing off from the insertions are there to allow me to weave them into the piece. At least that's the plan!
