This is where I am on the current small work. One interesting thing I'm noticing is how heavy it's becoming in my hand despite its small size, with all the intense stitching and beading. Makes me wonder how people get around in heavily beaded dresses. This piece is probably the first of a set of pieces in various media, haven't decided what comes next yet. Unless it turns out to be an echo of an earlier work already. That happens, too.
As soon as I took the pic I noticed passages that need to be rethought, this is what happens when you see it with the new eyes of the camera, very helpful.
Nice work Sis. I find holding the work up to a mirror works for me.
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful, Liz! And I am so happy to see it stage by stage. Xxoo
ReplyDeleteI am always fascinated by how differently things can appear in a photograph. You can instantly see what's working and what isn't. This piece is coming along nicely. Do you work with a general plan, or do you just let the piece guide you?
ReplyDeletewhat did we do before the camera I wonder and now with the digital we can see the photo so much bigger on thye computer. The beadwtrk is coming along a treat
ReplyDeleteIt becomes more interesting with each step.
ReplyDeleteI'm liking the colour combination - almost looks regal!
