Here's my suncatcher star constellation in action.
Cloudy today, so the sun part is on hold. But, as Kate Jackson would say, makes me happy!
This is a western window, sun starts coming in mid afternoon till evening, so I will be watching this space.
I love how silk takes dyes, lovely rich colors.

Since this morning the sun has been coming and going, and the stars, being fine silk, suspended on silk threads, move gently all the time. It's the most calming and meditative work I've ever made. Very pleased with it, and glad I left them separated. I hadn't thought of possible movement, so that was a plus.
ReplyDeleteMittens posted a lovely comment which I accidentally deleted. Hit the wrong button, sigh. But thank you anyway.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Movement makes them even better I would think, although could give you a start if you catch them out of the corner of your eye (at least until you get used to them being there).
ReplyDeleteThey're so gentle that they don't startle. They just drift gently back and forward about half an inch each way.
Deleteit's okay, you're forgiven, and you're welcome. (I've done the same thing myself, but I'm not telling anyone)
